The Italian pianist Giovanno Guidi, who became known through his many years of collaboration with Enrico Rava, will start his new quartet next spring, which includes the American saxophonist James Brandon Lewis. „I’ve known Giovanni since he was 8 years old,“ says Uli Fild . „I’m convinced: With this band, Guidi will take the decisive step forward in his career.“

The two musicians have previously collaborated in Giovanni Guidi’s Gato Barbieri project, documented on the CD Ojos de Gato on Cam Rec.
